On my last week of P90X before I shelve it for a few months, I'm looking forward to my Farewell tour, but anxious about not being on the program. I must say that my confidence to try more difficult things is high. Saturday I went for a bike ride in the Napa Valley. I started outside of St Helena and planned to do a loop around Calistoga. Previously, I've done some rides up here that are pretty easy in terms of elevation, but as I was riding Saturday morning I looked up at the mountains and said I need a challenge. So, I turned right at Calistoga and took 29 up the road to Robert Louis Stevenson State Park. Just a little 2000 ft climb, I climbed 1300 ft of it as I was getting tired and not familiar with the road, and then road the 12 miles home and at a solid pace. Now that I've mapped the route on Mapmytri.com I see that I was only 2.6 miles from the summit and 800 feet of elevation left to go. I will conquer that hill this year.
Yoga this morning, done, rocked and ommed my way to a finish.
Core in the morning and hopefully some golf as well.
Fore!
